Ashley Robinson
Ashley Robinson is the Founder and CEO of Seaker, a strategic growth consultancy for restaurant, retail, hospitality, and commercial real estate leaders.
Over two decades she's sat on nearly every side of the table. She started in brokerage, moved in-house at women's clothing retailer Coldwater Creek, then took her real estate and site selection expertise into the restaurant world at Kona Grill and Hopdoddy.
She later worked the other side of the lease as a landlord-developer at CenterCal Properties, and spent time inside a deep-learning sales forecasting company, watching data try, and often fail, to predict how physical businesses actually behave.
In March 2020, she left the data world and founded The Seaker Group. Today she works directly with founders and operators, not just boardrooms, building the strategic growth plans and decision frameworks behind some of the fastest-growing names in restaurants and retail. She's also the inventor of The Ten Things™ and MMDR™, proprietary tools that turn AI from a black box into a decision-making instrument leaders can actually trust. She lives with her husband and two daughters, and is still, by her own admission, the annoying kid who asks "why" after every answer.
The Premise
Eighty percent of restaurants fail within their first three years. Most enterprise AI systems never deliver what they promised. Same root cause, and it sits further upstream than most people look.
Somewhere early on, a capable team went to work on a question no one had pressure-tested, and a thousand logical decisions cascaded from there. That is not a failure of judgment. It is a gap in the toolkit.
“Be Irreplaceable” is the toolkit.
Built on twenty+ years inside physical, operationally complex businesses; brokerage, restaurants, retail, real estate development, and a data company. Not a theory book, but a method that emerged from watching smart, well-capitalized teams work hard on the wrong question, and from learning what would have changed it. AI makes this urgent. Get the question right, and AI becomes the most powerful accelerant a leader has ever had. This book will help good leaders ask better questions, harness the power on AI effectively and deliver the best possible decisions.
An All-Knowing leader is no different than AI…an All-Asking one is Irreplaceable.
